Size and thickness are two different specs
"TT table size" usually means one of two things, and they're not the same question. If you mean the table's physical dimensions — how much floor space it takes up — that's fixed by regulation and doesn't vary between tables worth buying. If you mean how thick the playing surface is, that's the spec that actually changes between our tables, and the one that affects how the ball bounces.
Table dimensions: fixed, not a buying decision
A regulation table tennis table measures 9 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 2.5 feet high. Every table worth buying — ours included — is built to this footprint; it isn't something you compare between models the way you'd compare thickness or price. What does vary by table is the clearance you need around it: competitive play needs real space behind each end for a full swing, well beyond the table's own footprint, so measure your room before you measure the table.
Tabletop thickness: the spec that actually matters
Thickness is measured in millimetres and refers to the playing surface itself, not the table's overall size. Thinner tops (typically 12–15mm) are common on basic or portable tables and give a duller, less predictable bounce. Thicker tops (18mm and up) hold a truer, more consistent bounce, which matters more as play gets more competitive — the ITTF requires a ball dropped from 30cm to bounce back at least 23cm, and a thin, low-quality top struggles to deliver that consistently over time.
We carry two thickness tiers, not three — no 12mm table, since that thickness doesn't hold up to the bounce consistency serious training actually needs:
- 18mm — Championship Edition, ₹27,500. Reliable, consistent bounce for everyday training and club-level play.
- 25mm — Tournament Edition, ₹38,000. Tournament-grade top thickness for competitive matches.
- 25mm — Quantra Edition, ₹52,000. Same top thickness as Tournament Edition, with reinforced framing built for frequent, high-intensity use.

Why thickness changes the bounce at all
A thicker top resists flexing under impact more than a thin one does. When the ball strikes a thin surface, some of that energy bends the tabletop itself rather than returning to the ball, which is what produces the duller, less predictable bounce thinner tables are known for. A thicker, stiffer top returns more of that energy consistently, shot after shot — which is exactly why the ITTF's bounce-height requirement gets harder to meet reliably as thickness drops, and why "thicker" isn't a marketing claim so much as a description of what the material is actually doing on contact.
The short version
If someone tells you their table is "bigger" or "smaller" than yours, they almost certainly mean thicker or thinner, not a different footprint — table size doesn't meaningfully vary; thickness does.
