Speed players don't rely on spin — they rely on pace. Every flat drive, smash, and counter-hit is designed to take time away from the opponent. Equipment must be fast, direct, and responsive.
What to Look For
- 1Choose the fastest blade you can still control — carbon fibre composites are excellent for speed.
- 2Harder sponge rubbers (45–52 degrees) catapult the ball off the bat with minimal effort.
- 3Low throw angle rubbers keep your flat hits and drives from ballooning long.
